Skeet Ulrich to Guest Star on Riverdale

skeet-ulrich_featured_photo_galleryOnly true ’90s teens will understand why it’s so epic that Skeet Ulrich is playing the baddie to combat Luke Perry’s Fred Andrews on the CW’s upcoming drama, Riverdale.

(Hint for the younger crowd: these two were both big time teen dream boats in the ’90s. The more you know…)

But anyway.

Let’s come back to the present.

E!Online reports that the Beverly Hills, 90210 alum is to debut as a guest star in the CW series’ fourth episode as the leader of a gang of criminals known as the Southside Serpents.

Ulrich’s character is said to have a grudge against Archie’s Father, Perry’s Fred Andrews, as well as a “mysterious connection” to Cole Sprouse’s Jughead.

Intriguing.

I mean, if you take a look at Skeet Ulrich, and then look at Sprouse with his darkened locks for his role, it’s impossible not to speculate that they may be related in some way.

Long lost Father and Son duo?

Maybe a distant, sketchy uncle?

That’s the thing about this new and shiny take on the beloved Archie comics: the CW has packed this version full of mysteries and twists.

We’ll just add Mr. Ulrich’s bad boy persona to the ever-growing pile.

Riverdale premieres midseason 2017 on The CW.

Becky is a television, literature, and pop culture enthusiast who spends more of her time exploring fictional worlds than she does living in the real one. Post-apocalyptic and dystopian settings are her kryptonite, and she has a strange soft spot for anything that involves the walking dead (the creatures themselves, not the show -- but the show is good, too). You can usually find her engrossed in shows like Preacher, The Walking Dead, Sense8, or any one of the many other series that tickle her fancy.
