So ‘The Fosters’ winter finale is going to destroy me, isn’t it?

Fosters 1x14If you watched last Monday’s episode of The Fosters, then I don’t need to tell you how much I cried. Flat out sobbed.

I thought I’d learned heartbreak on The Fosters, but apparently I haven’t. It sounds like the winter finale, which airs on March 24, is going to completely destroy me.

Michael Ausiello revealed details on The Fosters winter finale, which promises drama, heartbreak and a metaphoric freight train that will be the death of me, I’m sure.

We’re only halfway through the season, but you might want to start bracing yourself for the winter finale, airing March 24. When we brought up the episode with exec producer Peter Paige at the Family Equality Council’s Annual Los Angeles Awards Dinner this past Saturday, where he and fellow EP Bradley Bredeweg were being honored, Paige got choked up. “I literally almost cried, just now standing here talking to you,” he said. “It’s a freight train. And it’s coming for your heart.” Added young star Hayden Byerly: “It’s so dramatic. It’s so heartbreaking for Callie and Jude, especially. Something terrible happens to both of them.”

My friend, who is also completely obsessed with The Fosters, brought up an interesting theory about Callie and Jude’s birth father coming back into the mix and taking them away from the Fosters. NO. Just. No. Please.

The Fosters airs Mondays at 9/8c on ABC Family.
