As Oliver Queen’s final showdown against Prometheus approaches, he’ll be forced to team up with unexpected faces that he considers foes.
“The alliances are going to be very surprising,” executive producer Wendy Mericle told EW.com. “You’re not going to believe who Oliver is working with to defeat Prometheus.”
One of those unexpected foes has been revealed to be a familiar face from Arrow‘s second season.
Stephen Amell revealed that Manu Bennett will be returning in Arrow‘s season 5 finale reprising his role of Slade Wilson aka Deathstroke.
And by the sound of Amell’s cryptic message, it sounds like Slade might actually be an ally in this situation. Color us surprised and intrigued!

Things must be pretty dire for Oliver to turn to the man that murdered his mother, nearly destroyed Starling City, and almost killed Felicity. Prometheus continues to wow us as a worthy adversary of Oliver’s in what’s been truly fun to watch this season.
The Arrow season finale airs May 24. Arrow returns with all-new episodes Wednesday, April 26 at 8/7c on The CW.
