You know how sometimes you make a decision and then something happens that makes you regret that decision? Well that’s how I feel about not attending San Diego Comic Con this year.

Why?

Because if you are at the event and you made your way to the Outlander panel, then you got a huge treat. The world premiere of the third season happened today. “The Battle Joined,” written by showrunner Ronald D. Moore and directed by Brendan Maher was screened today for fans in attendance.

The unexpected screening followed the previously announced “Outlander” panel, moderated by actress and dancer Jenna Dewan Tatum. Panelists included: Ronald D. Moore (executive producer), Maril Davis (executive producer), Diana Gabaldon (author), Caitriona Balfe (Claire Randall Fraser), Sam Heughan (Jamie Fraser), Tobias Menzies (Black Jack Randall/Frank Randall), Sophie Skelton (Brianna Randall) and Richard Rankin (Roger Wakefield).

We die.

Starz released a great video that recaps the series thus far if you aren’t familiar.

Yes, we had a reporter in attendance, who will do something on it eventually, but don’t worry – we’re not going to give away spoilers.

Starz also released 3 new photos from the third season that have us anxiously awaiting the premiere. The photos feature a variety of scenes from the new season: Claire and Frank Randall (1960s), Jamie in the print shop (1700s), and Claire with her daughter Brianna Randall and Roger Wakefield (1960s). See them above in the gallery.

Outlander’s Season Three will premiere on Sunday, September 10th at 8pm ET/PT on STARZ.

Head Bitch In Charge

I work a lot. Fangirlish is my baby. I work in social media professionally and I love it – which is probably why I don’t keep up on my own. I don’t sleep enough and I obsess too much over my favorite things. I need to work on combing my hair more. Or at elast I need to stop dying it different colors.
