Not that it should come as any shock, but CBS plans on renewing its freshman hit Supergirl for a second season.
According to Deadline, CEO Les Moonves made the announcement at the Deutsche Bank Media, Internet & Telecom Conference on Tuesday morning.
“We have about five new shows on this year,” he said. “Of those five, I believe all five of them will be renewed, and we own four of them.”
The five freshmen shows that the network has released this season are Limitless, Code Black, Life in Pieces, Angel from Hell, and Supergirl. Angel from Hell was cancelled earlier this year, which means that one of the two upcoming premieres — Rush Hour and Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders — could fill that fifth spot.
Supergirl airs Mondays at 8pm on CBS.
