‘Supergirl’ Gets 22-Episode Order for Season 2, Production Moving to Vancouver

The Supergirl news keeps on coming.

After news of Supergirl‘s season 2 renewal and move from CBS to The CW, David Harewood has given us some more details of what we can expect with Supergirl‘s move.

According to Harewood, Supergirl season 2 will get a 22-episode order, as well as film in Vancouver.

Supergirl‘s first season was originally picked up for 13 episodes before getting a 7-episode back order for a total of 20 episodes. Supergirl‘s 22-episode order isn’t so surprising given the 23 episodes that Arrow and The Flash get every season.

Also, Supergirl‘s production will move from Los Angeles to Vancouver, which is where Arrow, The Flash, and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow also film. It’ll be much cheaper for a show that had a near $3 million per episode price tag on CBS last season.

The CW will host its network upfront next Thursday, May 19 in New York City, where we can expect to learn more about Supergirl‘s future on The CW.
