When Supergirl returns, our characters will be dealing with plenty in the new year.
For Brainy, that means exploring romance with Nia, as the two took a step forward in the season finale. But his story will also revolve around the technological focus in Supergirl‘s fifth season. Specifically, a company that dabbles in virtual reality, which is inspired by Black Mirror.
“This year there is a new company called Obsidian,” Jesse Rath told us at Comic-Con. “Basically they have this virtual reality technology, and, who knows, Brainy might factor into this with Lena.”
Meanwhile, J’Onn J’Onzz is busy dealing with the arrival of that mysterious Green Martian we saw in the season finale. So who exactly is he?
“J’Onn is dealing with some serious family issues in the return of his brother, Malefic,” David Harewood told us. “I’ll be having my hands full in deep, family issues.”
Watch our interview with Jesse Rath and David Harewood, where they preview the new season.
Supergirl returns Oct. 6 on The CW.
