‘Supergirl’ series to take flight on CBS

DC Comics’ domination on the small screen continues.

CBS has given a series commitment to Supergirl (from Arrow and Flash executive producer Greg Berlanti and Ali Adler), according to TVLine.

The hour-long drama will follow Superman’s cousin, Kara Zor-El who “escaped the planet Krypton amid its destruction. Having hid all this time on Earth the powers she shares with ‘her famous cousin (‘s the official logline cheekily puts it), 24-year-old Kara decides to embrace her superhuman abilities and ‘be the hero she was meant to be.'”

TVLine also confirmed that the title of the series will in fact be Supergirl.
