I don’t know about you guys, but I’m not ok after looking through these Supernatural 300th episode pics that popped up on EW this past week thanks to the lovely Samantha Highfill and Eric Ogden. Not even close to being ok!
After years of drama, trauma, and all sorts of spooky adventures that were set off because of John Winchesters disappearance and then death, Jeffrey Dean Morgan is finally back! Now, just to be honest and clear, John wasn’t perfect. He fucked up a lot and he let his grief pull him and his children down a path of constantly moving around and being trained as little soldiers from a young age. All of this doesn’t change the fact that I’m happy to have John/Jeffrey back, especially for the scenes that are coming our way.
I need a scene where John tells Dean how proud he is of him, how Dean deserved better, and that he was sorry he couldn’t give him a better life. I need a scene where John tells Sam that he’s sorry for pushing him away, putting all this pressure on him, and making him feel so alone. I need a scene where Mary and John reunite and talk about how proud they are at the men Dean and Sam have turned into. And most importantly, I NEED A WINCHESTER FAMILY HUG full of feelings and holding each other close.
Because this is Supernatural and every episode has at least one laugh no matter how serious things are, I want to see Jack interact with John. Jack is a ball of sunshine/man pain who is practically Sam, Dean, and Castiel’s kid. I’d hope John would see that and hand down some sage advice that will help all of them in the raising of this nephilim. Crossing fingers here.
The most important thing we’re hoping for when it comes to this 300th episode is closure. There are still wounds among the Winchester family that stem from John Winchesters passing and seeing him again will help all of them move on. Here’s hoping that it doesn’t mean that Mary will go off with John, never to be seen again, because Sam & Dean deserve all the love and all the family they can get!
Supernatural‘s 300th episode is going to air Thursday, February 7th at 8/7c on The CW.
