‘Supernatural’ SDCC Interview: Alexander Calvert Talks Being Jack & His Redemption Tour

We got the opportunity to talk with Alexander Calvert at SDCC about all things Supernatural. From how Jack left off at the end of season 14 and to how bad he hurt the Winchesters, we’ve got a look at what’s to come.

To start off, Calvert clarified that his character had made mistakes. No if’s, and’s, or buts about it.

“For me, I just looked at it like he made all these really poor decisions up to that point where he was feeling hopeless but also resigned to the fact that this was the end. And for me, I was just kind of looking at it like he accepts death.”

That’s why it felt like the life was sucked out of Jack even before God snapped his fingers and sent him to the darkness and what comes after for angels and nephilims. But Jack isn’t going to take it laying down when season 15 comes around. He’s learned and he’s going to come back stronger for it, for his family, and to stick it to God.

“I don’t know if it’s going to be a redemption tour. He did get killed by God so I think it would be something where he’s gonna be…forces aligning to make that right against God.” Because God, well he’s just the worst!
