‘Teen Wolf’ and ‘Batman v. Superman’ Win SDCC

With all the exciting news from San Diego Comic-Con, have you wondered which announcements generated the most buzz? While we continue to bring you the hottest stories from the convention, check out the stats from a handy infographic created by Way to Blue, which detail fascinating social media conversations and themes from the four-day convention.

Based on social media buzz, Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice and Teen Wolf won SDCC for movies and TV, respectively. The upcoming DC Comics film brought some serious star power to Hall H, with cast including Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, and Jesse Eisenberg in attendance, and debuted a jam-packed trailer that left fans anxious to see more. The cast and Executive Producer of MTV’s Teen Wolf are SDCC regulars, and their own action-packed trailer for the show’s fifth season gave us all the feels. We can definitely see why these franchises dominated the conversation online (we sent out more than a few Teen Wolf tweets ourselves, just saying.)

The infographic also details the convention’s Top 10 Conversation Drivers, topped by the aforementioned Batman v. Superman and Teen Wolf. The rest of the list is rounded out mostly by SDCC mainstays like Game of ThronesThe Walking Dead, and SupernaturalDoctor Who made a big impression after skipping the con in 2014, and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay‘s Hall H panel generated huge buzz. (What can we say? Nobody inspires tweets like JLaw.)

Interestingly, TV dominated the social media buzz with 8 of the top 10 most mentioned titles. The tide of entertainment has been shifting to the small screen, and we are so here for it.
