‘Teen Wolf’: Say Hello to New Power Couple Jackson & Ethan

Jackson Whittemore (Colton Haynes) said it himself back in Teen Wolf‘s second season: “I’m everyone’s type.” The former lacrosse captain (and ex-boyfriend to one Lydia Martin) will be making his way back to Beacon Hills for the show’s final season, and he won’t be coming back alone. Say hello to new power couple Jackson and Ethan (Charlie Carver).

While we had a feeling that sparks might be flying between these two characters when we spoke with Haynes and Carver at San Diego Comic-Con, their couple status was officially confirmed via a new clip exclusively debuted on Entertainment Weekly.

The clip picks up in London, where Ethan is impatiently waiting for Jackson to arrive so they can head out to a show – in celebration of their anniversary (!!). When Jackson fails to answer his phone, Ethan grows increasingly frustrated and disappointed, thinking that his boyfriend has forgotten this important date. We soon learn that is not the case, as Hunters burst into the room with a restrained Jackson in tow.

The Hunters get the jump on Ethan, but thankfully they didn’t use the right type of wolfsbane on Jackson. That remaining Kanima DNA is still coming in handy. Chaos ensues, and it’s pretty amazing to watch.

EW also debuted a photo (above) from Jackson and Ethan’s return, which will take place during the September 10 episode of Teen Wolf. This one we do have a little more context for, as MTV showed part of the clip it’s from during the show’s San Diego Comic-Con panel. Let’s just say that the boys choose the very worst person to ask for directions to Scott McCall.

We can’t wait to see Jackson and Ethan return to Beacon Hills to aid the pack in the coming war against Gerard and the Hunters. This will also make the dynamic in that Jackson / Stydia reunion scene we’ve been hearing about even more interesting.

Teen Wolf airs Sundays at 8pm on MTV. (Reminder: There will be no new episode this weekend due to the VMAs.)
