‘The 100’ Renewed for Season 6, ‘Life Sentence’ & ‘Valor’ Canceled at The CW

We’re less than a week away from network upfronts, and the renewals and cancellations are beginning to trickle out. While there’s only one show on our radar at present — it’s all about Timeless, seriously NBC any day now would be great — there are some CW shows that have learned their fate.

While The CW renewed a slew of shows last month, there were several shows that remained in limbo awaiting their fate. With The CW expanding to a six-day schedule, now including Sundays beginning this fall, it came as no surprise that The CW renewed nearly everything on its slate.

One of those shows that was in limbo but can breathe a little easier is The 100, which just kicked off its fifth season. It will air 13 episodes this season, and it will likely be the same for season 6.

As for shows that didn’t fare so well, Life Sentence and Valor have been cancelled by the network. The move comes as no surprise given its low(er) performing ratings and engagement.

Returning for new seasons in Fall 2018/Spring 2019 are: Arrow, Black Lightning, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Dynasty, The Flash, Jane the Virgin, Riverdale, Supergirl, Supernatural, and now The 100.

The Originals is in its final season while iZombie awaits its fate. The CW will order a few new series at its network upfront on May 18, candidates that include a Roswell spinoff and a Supernatural spinoff Wayward Sisters.
