The Big Bang Theory has been a show that affected my life in ways that I’m not sure I will ever be truly able to articulate. Some of you know that I used to work at Warner Bros. and there were many days where I would wander the lot – just to walk past the stage.
Because the show was one that gave me hope and purpose. It made me feel a little less alone being overly geeky. It made me want to laugh and cry and well, most of all – smile.
The show has provided many laughs over the years. I’ve seen episodes multiple times as I sit up and watch them on reruns. Sheldon is the role model we all didn’t know we needed and somehow the one we never wanted.
But I guess that’s just life, you find things in places that you didn’t know you needed them.
It was announced last week that this season – the 12th – will be it’s final season. To be honest with you, like so many fans I took it really hard. It felt like another something that I loved was leaving me.
It took me a bit to understand that all good things come to an end.
Warner Bros. Television and Chuck Lorre Productions will bring the Emmy-nominated comedy, The Big Bang Theory, to a close at the end of season 12 with a record-breaking 279 episodes.

I work a lot. Fangirlish is my baby. I work in social media professionally and I love it - which is probably why I don't keep up on my own. I don't sleep enough and I obsess too much over my favorite things. I need to work on combing my hair more. Or at elast I need to stop dying it different colors.
