There are only a handful of episodes left in Reign‘s freshman season and TVline sat down with Laurie McCarthy to dish on the remainder of the season.
PRE-FINALE EPISODES | “We’re going to move time forward more quickly towards the end of the season,” executive producer Laurie McCarthy tells TVLine, suggesting that King Henry’s madness will begin to progress more rapidly. “Mary will be the focus of his ambitions, of his rage and maybe even his desires.” Speaking of desires, one thing you should not expect is a rekindling of Bash and Mary’s romance. “There will always be a lingering thing between them,” McCarthy admits, “but [Kenna] is going to find herself falling for Bash, and she’s going to be successful in getting him to fall for her. Our lives have chapters. People move on.” As for that pesky “darkness” lurking about, McCarthy promises, “By the end of the season, we’ll answer the question of who the ‘darkness’ is and what kind of terror he’ll bring.”
Cue Mallory being incredibly sad! No more Bash and Mary? Let’s all mourn the relationship together.
And doesn’t Francis only have a year from his marriage to live? With the honeymoon being 2 whole months, and then the rest of the time that has passed since then, how is the timeline going to speed up without tying Francis to his deathbed?
