‘The Flash’ Hints at Aquaman in This Deleted Pilot Scene

It’s no secret that The Flash has not been afraid to throw some big DC names around, whether it’s incorporating them into the show or simply throwing Easter Eggs our way. One of those Easter Eggs didn’t make it into the final cut of season 1, but we’re getting a look at the deleted scene that will appear on The Flash season 1 Blu-Ray and DVD.

In the clip, Barry Allen and Joe West (pre-Flash) are talking about Barry’s tardiness, as well as his appeal for investigating supernatural cases that have led to said tardiness, including Soloman Grundy, who Barry helped Oliver Queen, John Diggle, and Felicity Smoak defeat on Arrow in season 2. But Joe brings up another case that Barry once investigated…

“Yeah, and last month you disappeared to Amnesty Bay to investigate a man who could talk to fish.”

That would be a not-so-subtle nod to fellow DC hero Aquaman, who calls Amnesty Bay home. While Warner Bros. has stressed that its television and cinematic universes are separate, it’s always a possibility that Aquaman could maybe show up in the future, just not the Jason Momoa Aquaman. Or, most likely, it’s just a nice Easter Egg. Either way, we’re here for it!
