‘The Flash’ SDCC Trailer Previews Family-Focused Season 5

If like me, you’ve been excited to know more about what Nora is doing in the present timeline and what her presence will mean for Barry, Iris, and the rest of the team, then you’re going to be excited about The Flash‘s season 5 San Diego Comic-Con trailer!

In it, we get a glimpse of some of the threads starting off the season. Iris is excited to have her daughter here, but Barry is more cautious about what it means. Nora herself is both excited and anxious about her “big, big mistake.” She’s also hiding something. We’ll have to wait to find out what that would be. If Barry’s expression is any indication, it’s a pretty big deal.

We also get a glimpse of this season’s villain, Cicada. Not much is teased about the Big Bad. However, fan theories that he’s going to target those saved by the Flash are starting to look better and better. Will he turn out to be Caitlin’s father, as some have suspected? Time will tell.

See the first-look trailer below!

The Flash season 5 premieres Tuesday, Oct. 9 at 8/7c on The CW.

Law geek, actual geek, and fanfic writer. Maybe a novel writer one day, if I could only pull myself away from fandom long enough. I have been entirely too involved in fandom for my own sanity since at least my Smallville days. I love many comic book love stories, but Clark Kent and Lois Lane will always own my heart. Currently obsessed with The Flash.
