‘The Vampire Diaries’ 6×03 Preview Guide: ‘Welcome to Paradise’

The Vampire Diaries is all-new tonight, and we’re getting you ready for what’s sure to be an exciting hour with pictures, sneak peeks and what we’ll be watching for.

Thursday, Oct. 16, 8pm, The CW

5 Things We Want to Know:

  1. What happens when Stefan finds Enzo?

So apparently Stefan’s embracing some of his Ripper tendencies as he seeks revenge on Enzo for killing his girlfriend Ivy. When the hatred keeps building up, just how big is the explosion going to be when these two foes meet with equal amounts of disdain for each other?

  2. Do Bonnie and Damon run into whoever else in stuck in the ’90s with them?

In last week’s episode we learned, thanks to a crossword puzzle, that Bonnie and Damon are not alone in their retro-90s state. There are so many questions, like who is there with them? Are they good? Evil? What do they want with them? Do they want anything from them? But will we get a glimpse of who or what it is?

  3. How long is this new Elena going to be around for?

Not gonna lie, this new Elena is a little unsettling. Probably because we’re used to this sad, dangerous vampire that lost her boyfriend. I’m kinda digging this new vibe, but I’m wondering just how long Alaric’s compulsion will last? Is this permanent? Or is it a temporary fix?

  4. What’s about to go down to the swimming hole?

Law of the universe: Anything and everything will go wrong when you set out for a relaxing weekend of fun. Not only is Enzo coming along for the ride, Stefan can’t resist the perfect opportunity to kill Enzo for killing Ivy. With all of our Vampire Diaries friends in attendance, this is going to be one killer party at the swimming hole.

  5. What’s the deal with Tyler and Liv?

There are some seriously flirty vibes going on between newly-human with a werewolf gene Tyler and the witchy twin Liv. They seem to be good together and Liv is acting as a nice buffer to Tyler’s newly-regained anger issues. Plus, it’s The Vampire Diaries. This show’s all about the ships. And we found a new one that we’d like to see set sail.

TROUBLE AT THE SWIMMING HOLE — In an attempt to bring some fun back into their lives, Elena (Nina Dobrev) persuades Caroline (Candice Accola) to meet her at the swimming hole where she plans to introduce her to Liam (guest star Marco James). Tyler (Michael Trevino), still working on controlling his anger issues, asks Liv (guest star Penelope Mitchell) for a favor and is surprised when she makes an unexpected confession. Stefan (Paul Wesley) arrives back in Mystic Falls looking for Enzo (Michael Malarkey) and is caught off guard when he notices a strange change in Elena. Meanwhile, at the lake, Enzo’s actions cause Matt (Zach Roerig) to make a startling revelation, and Jeremy makes a discovery about the anti-magic spell that could potentially put Elena’s life in danger. Elsewhere, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Bonnie (Kat Graham) stumble upon clues that lead them to believe they’re not alone. Michael Allowitz directed the episode written by Brian Young (#603).

The Vampire Diaries airs Thursdays at 8/7c on The CW.
