That premiere was awesome, I don’t think we have to worry about the new season anymore. Let’s go into the recap.
Mystic Falls is not the Mystic Falls we knew and loved anymore. If the town continues to go down this path, Elena won’t know recognise the town she left behind. Now that the Heretics have taken up residents in the Salvatore house, the Mystic Falls gang have decided to strike a deal with the crazy witchpires.
Stefan and Caroline manage to compel the Mystic Falls residents to leave town but any trespassers are free for all. So if people don’t want to be eaten they better stay clear of town.
While all this is going down in Mystic Falls, Damon and Alaric are on a drinking bender in Europe, well that’s what Damon thought. While Damon’s been drinking his worries away with Bonnie chaperoning, Alaric’s been trying to contact Jo from the dead.
While the drinking buddies is something we’re used to seeing on The Vampire Diaries. Something we haven’t seen in a while is the diaries. Keeping their promise to write everything down for Elena, Caroline and Bonnie are documenting everything in their lives, even the reason why Ric might have health issues later in life.
One of the best things to happen in the premiere was Matt. Matt is finally a deputy and I couldn’t be happier for him, he deserves to get something good for a change, even if the ceremony was ruined by the wrath of the Heretics.
Back in Mystic Falls, Bonnie and Damon are ready for war and it isn’t long before the two are teaming up to take down one of the Heretics. R.I.P Malcom. Bamon’s friendship is also going from strength to strength. Damon might resent her a bit for the whole Elena in a deep slumber situation but he called her his best friend, these two are going to be awesome. We can’t wait to see how this friendship develops.
After like two seasons of will they, wont they, Stefan and Caroline have finally got together and with their humanity on this time. Caroline is finally ready to be with Stefan and it’s about time, let’s hope these two are able to make this thing work.
One character that had a harder time this episode was Enzo. Now that a war is breaking out, Enzo needed to pick a side, and we all hoped he would pick the right side. Having sat on the fence for the whole episode, Enzo finally picked a side inthe end. Let’s just say Caroline won’t be happy when she wakes up, seen as though Enzo kidnapped her.
Now let’s talk about one of the best things that happened in the premiere, the flash forward. Set three years into the future, things don’t look good for Stefan who has a crazy lady on his tail who has interesting vampire torture/ killing tools. And while Stefan is on the run, Damon has taken up residents in a coffin awaiting the return of his beloved, but that’s quickly interrupted when Stefan needs his help escaping the crazy lady.
