Happy Friday, Teen Wolf fans! This week we’re covering news on several Teen Wolf stars’ new projects, more new honors for some of the show’s stars, and new European adventures. Here’s the Beacon Hills-related news you may have missed this week:
All About Undrafted
Frontiers Media featured Undrafted, an independent baseball-themed film starring Tyler Hoechlin among an array of other equally impressive actors, in a ‘Coming to Theaters’ post this week. Here’s what they had to say:
Teen Wolf fans would be thrilled if the independent baseball-themed film Undrafted could find a distributor. Directed and written by Justified vet Joe Mazzello, the film has quite the collection of hunky cast members, including Mazzello, Teen Wolf’s Tyler Hoechlin, Gossip Girl’s Chace Crawford, The Finder’s Toby Hemingway, Sleepy Hollow’s Matt Barr, Strike Back‘s Philip Winchester and Graceland‘s Aaron Tveit. The story is taken from Mazzello’s brother’s real-life experience as a collegiate baseball star who didn’t make the Major League Baseball draft. Despite his devastation, he finds support from other misfit teammates at an intramural baseball game.
That cast alone has us convinced that this will be an amazing (and oh-so-beautiful) film, and the plot sounds interesting, too! Here’s hoping Undrafted will find a distributor soon so that we can experience it on the big screen.
Teen Wolf Actors Represent on Just Jared’s Top 25
The Teen Wolf obsession continues to pay off–your searches, comments, and social interactions are landing the show and its stars on more and more ‘Top ____’ lists for 2014. This week, several current and former Teen Wolf stars represented on Just Jared’s 25 Most Popular Actors of 2014 list (ranked according to site statistics, social interaction, etc.). Our favorite Kanima, Colton Haynes, came in at #18; while freshman bounty hunter Garrett, a.k.a. Mason Dye, landed at #16. Moving on up the list, Tyler Hoechlin ranked at #11, and Dylan O’Brien made the top 5 at #4. Did your favorite make the list?
Ask Me Anything Out Now
Looking for something to watch this weekend? Look no further! Ask Me Anything, starring Max Carver and Britt Robertson (The First Time), is available now. Here’s what it’s all about:
Beautiful, wild, funny, and lost, Katie Kampenfelt takes a year off before college to find herself, all the while chronicling her adventures in an anonymous blog into which she pours her innermost secrets. Eventually, Katie’s fearless narrative begins to crack, and dark pieces of her past emerge. (IMDB)
Charlie Carver and Holland Roden also appeared at a Beverly Hills screening of the film on Wednesday (December 17) to support Max.
Find out where to watch on the film’s Facebook page.
Lots of Desert, No Wolf
The Band Perry released their “Gentle On My Mind” cover video, which stars Shelley Hennig and Alexander Ludwig (Vikings, The Hunger Games). The video features some gorgeous scenery from Death Valley, and it’s cool to see these two stars in a new setting. Definitely worth a watch!
ROME If You Want To
A video posted by Ian Bohen (@ianbohen) on
Several Teen Wolf stars have been taking Europe by storm this month, attending cons and giving the rest of us a glimpse into how they’re spending the rest of their time on their travels. Ian Bohen shared this funny video (with a surprise J.R. Bourne appearance) on his Instagram this week. New goal: traveling Europe with the Teen Wolf cast, because it seems like they really know how to travel in style. Wishing those of you who will be seeing Ian, J.R., and the other special guests at Nemeton Itacon this weekend a fabulous time!
That’s a wrap on this week’s Teen Wolf news! Make sure to send in your favorite moments and quotes from Season 2 for the next installment of our Teen Wolf Rewind, coming next week–you can tweet us @fangirlishness or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Have a great weekend!
