According to EP Shawn Ryan, Timeless has failed to find another network to take it on for a third season. With the actors deals just expiring we were hoping for some twist or surprise of events like we got last year, especially because of the Timeless fandoms continued fight to keep the show alive through their voices and campaigns.
But alas, things aren’t looking so good.
There are economic obstacles in the way that made Timeless something not worth picking up on NBC and a wide range of streaming services that they were in negotiations/talks with. Even making a 2 hour movie seems bleak at this time but something that the Timeless fandom, it’s EP’s, and writers, are definitely going to fight for.
This can’t be the end for Timeless. Rufus is still out there in need of the Time Teams help!
So make sure that you keep making your voice heard. We’ll take a season 3 but we’ll also take a 2-hour movie to help wrap things up or set them on a path that leaves us feeling satisfied instead of anxious like we are now. Send love to Shawn Ryan, Eric Kripke, the Timeless writers room, and every single actor who brought this world alive and helped create one of the best communities out there!
1. @SPTV has notified @TheRealKripke and me that efforts to land #Timeless at another network have sadly failed. While Sony will continue to look at any and all options, actor deals have expired and it appears there will be no Season 3 or beyond.

2. Discussions still take place between @SPTV and @NBC about a possible 2 hour movie to conclude the #Timeless story, but there are considerable economic obstacles that make it an uncertainty. We will update you when we know more.

3. @TheRealKripke, me, the cast, writers & crew of #Timeless want to send our immense thanks and gratitude to all the #ClockBlockers who fought so hard for this show. You made a second season possible and gave us hope for a Season 3. We wish the news was better. We love you all.

It's fans like you that made this show fun for us to make. Thanks so much. We'll see about the 2 hour movie possibility or maybe a wider audience catches up with the show in future years and creates a revival opportunity then. #TImeless https://t.co/8Fo9v4cRh6
