Crazy Ex-Girlfriend 2x04 Review: What a Wonderful Sh*tshow

Top 5 Crazy Ex-Girlfriend Ships (That Don’t Involve Josh Chan)

Alright, I know: the whole concept behind Crazy Ex-Girlfriend is the on-going saga of Rebecca’s “love” for Josh. If we’re being honest, however, we can all admit that absolutely no one in their right mind will ever root for Rebecca and Josh to end up together. They’re horrible for and to each other. It’s just a train wreck.

Hard pass.

So, here’s a list of 5 of the best Crazy Ex-Girlfriend ships – and (surprise!) none of them involve Josh Chan.

5. Rebecca and Valencia

I know we haven’t seen a whole lot of these two together just yet this season, but, in season one, there was a good chunk of time during which we all thought that maybe the real ship of the show might be Relencia (totally just made the up off the cuff just now) – and, honestly? Maybe it should have been.

4. Paula and Scott

Things were rocky between these two when we first met Paula, but then they spiced up their love life and became one of the greatest couples on the show. They’re friends, they’re married, they’re real, and they’re fun.

3. Heather and Valencia (no, seriously.)

Okay, okay. I know this one isn’t canon – it hasn’t even been hinted or alluded to in canon like Relencia has been – but I totally see it! I could 100% get on board this ship, and I just didn’t see it properly until the show’s most recent episode, “Who Needs Josh When You Have a Girl Group?”

I need it.

2. Rebecca and Greg

They were absolutely awful together now, but you are lying if you say you could never see these two as end game!

I know in my broken heart that Greg is gone for good and is never coming back, but, man, these two could have been great if they’d only met at a different time – a time when they were both healthy and happy and ugh…

1. Darryl and WhiJo

Who’s shocked that this is my number one?

The answer is no one.

Honestly, I don’t even think this one needs an explanation but I’ll give it to you anyway: a proud, bi-sexual, older man and his out and proud gay boyfriend being domestic and adorable and perfect together?

I need a minute.

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend airs Fridays, 10/9c on The CW.

Becky is a television, literature, and pop culture enthusiast who spends more of her time exploring fictional worlds than she does living in the real one. Post-apocalyptic and dystopian settings are her kryptonite, and she has a strange soft spot for anything that involves the walking dead (the creatures themselves, not the show -- but the show is good, too). You can usually find her engrossed in shows like Preacher, The Walking Dead, Sense8, or any one of the many other series that tickle her fancy.
