It’s ‘unREAL’ Who Was Added To The Cast of ‘Sweetbitter’

We’re really looking forward to Sweetbitter on Starz. The adaptation, which is based on Stephanie Danler’s best-selling 2016 book of the same name, had already cast Ella Purnell, who you may recognize from Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, was cast as Tess.

Now added to the cast was Caitlin FitzGerald, who you may recognize from The Masters of Sex and we’re looking forward to seeing her as the suitress in the next season of unREAL.

“Sweetbitter” follows 22-year-old Tess who, shortly after arriving in New York City, lands a job at a celebrated downtown restaurant. Swiftly introduced to the world of drugs, alcohol, love, lust, dive bars, and fine dining, she learns to navigate the chaotically alluring, yet punishing life she has stumbled upon. This is the story of a young woman’s coming-of-age, set against the rich and grimy backdrop of exclusive restaurants, conjuring a nonstop and high-adrenaline world evoking the possibility, beauty, and fragility of being young and adrift.

Other new cast members include, Paul Sparks (House of Cards), Evan Jonigkeit (Broad City), Jasmine Matthews (Heathers) as Heather, Daniyar (Claws) as Sasha, and relative newcomer Eden Epstein.

Have you read Sweetbitter? Are you looking forward to the adaptation?

Head Bitch In Charge

I work a lot. Fangirlish is my baby. I work in social media professionally and I love it - which is probably why I don't keep up on my own. I don't sleep enough and I obsess too much over my favorite things. I need to work on combing my hair more. Or at elast I need to stop dying it different colors.
