The last of the San Diego Comic Con news are trickling out, and what we can gather from it is that season six is going to be busy, busy, busy.
After all, we’ve been promised Hook backstory (at last!), Belle backstory, (yay for her getting out of the box!) a Captain Charming adventure and an Evil Queen who’s going to take us back to the Snow-Regina conflict of Season 1.
That’s a lot of stuff – stuff we’ve been waiting for. And there are many questions, ones we’ve been holding onto for what feels like eons: What happened to Hook’s mother? What in the world is wrong with Belle’s father? Will the Evil Queen ever face the fact that the person she really needs to blame is not Snow, but Cora?
As if that wasn’t everything, Archie’s back. Cinderella’s back. So’s Dr. Whale, as EW reports David Anders is set to reprise his role for at least one episode. Add that to the newcomers: Aladdin, Jafar, Princess Jasmine, Morpheus and the Count of Montecristo.
That’s a lot of people. Maybe even too many. Will we have time for the people we love? Will we have some quiet Emma/Hook moments? Will we get to see Snow and Emma bond? What about Snow and Regina, the original relationship in which this show was built? Will we get to see more of that? Will Henry get to spend time with his family?
We hope so. Our first glimpse of Season 6 was exciting, but if there’s something we want from the new season of Once Upon A Time is a focus on the characters we already love. Though, we really wouldn’t mind getting to love others.
Just, in small doses. Small.
Once Upon a Time returns Sunday, Sept. 25 at 8/7c on ABC.
