Another Fangirlish exclusive interview with another amazing Wattpad Block Party SEII author! For those who love fanfiction, this is your girl!
What is it about Wattpad that makes it such a wonderful forum for writers?
Wattpad is an incredibly supportive community and I think that’s what makes it so much fun to write on. The instant feedback you get on chapters and hearing your readers thoughts on what they like and don’t like is amazing.
What is your genre? Why do you love it?
I used to write fanfiction, which I still love, but I am presently writing Science Fiction. I love fanfiction because of the fanbase. You meet so many amazing people who love the same thing you do and you get to expand that universe or write whatever kind of story you want with those people.
As for the kind of Science Fiction I write, I write dystopian. I love being able to create a world so utterly horrible, that there’s a reason to fight for something you believe in. It’s such a diverse kind of place and you can do as little and as much as you want.
What are some of your personal accolades and milestones you have reached with your writing?
My biggest accomplishment, by far, is getting into the Wattpad Stars program. I am incredibly proud of this and the opportunities it’s already given me!
Is this your first Wattpad Block Party? How does it feel to take part for the first time? If you’ve participated before, what has participating in past Block Parties been like?
It is! I am very excited and I can’t wait to share my story! I think my readers will thoroughly enjoy what I’ve been working on because I know how much they miss the story I’m writing about. So I’m pleasantly excited!
Who are some of your favorite Wattpad authors and why?
I love Anna Todd (who doesn’t); I think she’s an amazing person who has achieved what most of us want to achieve. I have tons of favorite people, but they’re my friends, so I feel like I shouldn’t list them because there is just too many! However, some of my favorite authors who I read would be Megan (styleslegend), Rebecca Sky, Lay (butterflytattoo), Elle Rose (ElleRoseBooks), and Kassandra Tate (famouxx).
What writing aspirations do you still hold?
I think it’s safe to say mine is publishing a book. I’m planning on querying the book I’m presently writing on Wattpad later this year, so fingers crossed that something comes from that! But yeah, seeing my book in Barnes & Noble is definitely a dream of mine!
