What To Read Now That You’ve Seen The Force Awakens

So now that we’ve all had time to recover from the amazing experience that is Star Wars: The Force Awakens, some of us are left wondering what we can do to fill that Star Wars void.

I don’t know about you lovely readers but I am an avid book reader. I consider myself quite the bookish person so the fact that there are plenty (and I mean PLENTY) of Star Wars books to read that are pre-TFA makes me incredibly happy!

Deseret News posted a list of 16 books to read BEFORE you see The Force Awakens but that’s too late…we can read them now though.

Here are just a few, click here to see the full list!

Star Wars: Aftermath

67293

“Taking place several months after the battle of Endor, the books shows that the Empire is losing, but by no means defeated, even as the Rebellion transitions into the New Republic and attempts to create a stable democracy in a war-torn galaxy.”

Lost Stars

67335

“The last few chapters of the book take place a year after “Return of the Jedi” and cover the Battle of Jakku, an major event in the war between the New Republic and the Empire that takes place above the desert planet seen in the trailers for “The Force Awakens.””

Moving Target: A Princess Leia Adventure

67298

“Princess Leia leads a small crew of rebels on a mission to disrupt the Empire in the lead up to the Battle of Endor in this short story. But like “Weapon of a Jedi,” the story is in fact being told near the beginning of “The Force Awakens,” and introduces some new characters like the droid PZ-4CO, who will appear in the upcoming film.”

Along with books there are even some graphic novels that make the list including one about Poe’s parents!

I am not one for reading a ton of sci-fi books but I might squeeze in some time this coming year to read some of these Star Wars ones before the next film!
