Creed and Dear White People actress, Tessa Thompson, has been cast in Thor: Ragnorak, the third installment of the Thor films, The Wrap reported.
Thompson has reportedly signed a multi-picture deal with Marvel, but it has not been announced which character she will be playing, although it is believed that she will be playing Thor’s new love interest as Natalie Portman would not be reprising her role as Jane Foster.
As well as Chris Hemsworth as the title character, Tom Hiddleston and Jaimie Alexander are also set to return for the third film, and will be joined by Cate Blanchett, and Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Hulk.
The film will be directed by Taika Waititi and is set for production this summer.
Thor: Ragnorak will be released November 3, 2017.
