Minnesota was chosen as the host city for the 2018 Super Bowl over Indianapolis and New Orleans. U.S. Bank Stadium, the site of Super Bowl LII, will serve as the new stadium for the Vikings beginning in the upcoming 2016 season. It’s typical of new stadiums to lock up Super Bowl hostings during its first couple of years of existence.
