Arrow Season 5 Begins Production, Premiere Gets Title

Oh, happy day!

While Arrow might be deep into summer hiatus, things are just starting to heat up as production on the show’s fifth season begins today (July 5).

Stephen Amell, Emily Bett Rickards, David Ramsey, Willa Holland, and co. return to Vancouver to begin filming the show’s season five premiere, which now has a title.

Executive producer Marc Guggenheim has continued his tradition of sharing the title page of the script for the given episode, revealing the title of the season 5 premiere: “Legacy.”

Arrow‘s fourth season ended with Oliver and Felicity remaining behind in Star City while Diggle, Thea, and Quentin took a break from Team Arrow following the tumultuous events of the season. While not much is known about where the fifth season will pick up, we can assume that we’ll find Oliver and Felicity maintaining their Team Arrow duties before the others return.

The fifth season marks the final year of Oliver’s island flashbacks as we head to Russia to learn about Oliver’s involvement with the Bratva. But there are many more questions about the new season that will surely be answered the closer we get to the show’s October return.

Arrow season 5 premieres Oct. 5 at 8/7c on The CW.
