Arrow's John Barrowman Becomes Series Regular Across All DCTV Shows

The Arrowverse certainly has not seen the last of Malcolm Merlyn.
TVLine has announced that Arrow alum John Barrowman, who served as a series regular on Arrow last season, will now serve as a series regular across all DC television shows.
Barrowman recurred on Arrow‘s first two seasons and moved to series regular for seasons three and four.
But this isn’t the first deal of its kind from mega producer Greg Berlanti. DC’s Legends of Tomorrow star Wentworth Miller locked up a similar deal last season.
“What it really emulates to us is the comic books themselves, where there really are a cast of characters,” Berlanti said in May about Miller. “In success, we hope to continue with other characters finding their way across all the shows.”
So while we certainly know what to expect from Merlyn on Arrow, there’s some intrigue surrounding his involvement throughout the Arrowverse. One thing is clear: don’t expect Malcolm Merlyn to die anytime soon.
The DC TV universe on The CW returns this October with new seasons of Arrow, The Flash, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, and Supergirl.
