The Blacklist 4×04 Preview Guide: ‘Gaia’

Last week, Liz returned to the task force for the first time, and we found out what Kirk’s true motivation for his obsession with her was. In tonight’s episode “Gaia,” the team is getting closer to bringing Agnes home. I’m honestly surprised that Agnes hasn’t been rescued already, considering how invested Red is in the matter. When Red sets his mind to something, everyone who’s not on his side should be running for cover.

Perhaps Kirk is a more formidable opponent than he seems, considering he and Red have so much history. Anyone who can hide from Red and keep from giving him what he wants has to have an astronomical level of talent.

Now that Liz is working with the task force again, there is going to be a lot of left over resentment and tension that will have to be dealt with. We got a great insight into how the team was feeling about her betrayal in the last episode, but I’m hoping we get even more in “Gaia” tonight.

I have to take a minute to talk about this promo photo just because it made me laugh so hard.

I mean just look at how done everyone is with Liz. It looks like she has more of an uphill battle to win back the trust and loyalty of the team than we thought.

One more burning question that hasn’t been answered yet is: Where is Mr. Kaplan being taken and will she recover? I’m hoping that answer comes in “Gaia” tonight, because not much was shown of Mr. Kaplan in last week’s episode.

It also looks like we’re about to see Liz go completely off the rails in order to bring her baby home, and I for one can’t wait. It’s been a while since we’ve gotten to see Liz be the badass we all know she is.

Here’s a synopsis of “Gaia” so we all know what to expect.

Liz and the Task Force are on the hunt for an eco-terrorist with a strange connection to Alexander Kirk; Tom decides to do things his way.

Honestly though, when has Tom ever not done things his way?

Here’s a trailer to get us prepared the best we can.

The Blacklist airs Thursdays at 10/9c on NBC.
