In news that should shock no one, Guilt was cancelled.

I know, I know – you are probably asking yourself what Guilt was. Honestly, not one of the best shows that we have ever seen on television and definitely not one of the worst. The show took place in London and followed an American student named Grace, who was on trial for the murder of her roommate. But, Grace didn’t do it. It was her boyfriend that did.

But not long after the cancellation Lifetime gave Guilt’s former star, Daisy Head, has been tapped to play Elena Holland in Lifetimes pilot, A Midsummer’s NightmareThe pilot is a modern-day take on Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

Also cast is Casey Deidrick – who most know from Eye Candy, but we remember him as Chad Dimera on Days of Our Lives (you work from home – you watch day time soaps).

What’s the show about?

Told from the perspective of Elena (Head), a young woman reluctantly drawn into a summer getaway-turned-nightmare, A Midsummer’s Nightmare introduces four young lovers — Elena, Liam (Deidrick), Hannah (Ellie Gall) and Daniel (Jake Robinson) — who steal off into the woods in pursuit of their romantic desires, but their plans are quickly thwarted when terrifying forces in the deep woods target the stranded group, using their own fantasies and darkest secrets against them. Will Elena and the group rise above their own frailties in order to survive sinister forces? It’s only a matter of time until the faces of love and terror wear the same mask.

We have to admit – we aren’t sure we will be watching, but who knows. Just not disappointed that Guilt was cancelled. Here’s hoping that A Midsummer’s Nightmare is a better show for Daisy.
