NFL Week 12 Winners and Losers

Week 12 in the NFL was one for the history books, with Tom Brady’s 200th win as a Starting Quarterback with the Patriots victory over the Jets tying him with Peyton Manning for most by a starting QB in NFL history.

Also Week 12 saw dominate performances and stunning finishes. Some questionable coaching decisions were made in New Orleans and Denver.

And the Browns lost again.  The dream of 0-16 lives on!

So let’s look at the winners and losers of Week 12 in the NFL!

Miami Dolphins : The Dolphins are riding a  6-game winning streak with the latest win over the 49ers. The offense has been greatly energized by Ryan Tennehill and Jay Ajayi.   Adam Gase is showing why the Miami brass showed smarts in hiring him as the head coach as they inch closer to a playoff berth.

Pettiness: New Orleans Saints crushed the Los Angeles Rams 49-21. Some say Sean Payton ran up the score on his old buddy Gregg Williams to settle some old score. When you run a trick play up by 21, you are either Bill Belichick or you are trying to run up the score. Just saying.

Luck: Cairo Santos, please buy lottery tickets today. He has to be one of the luckiest guys out there after bonking the winning field goal off the upright in overtime in the Chiefs 30-27 win over the Broncos.

Marcus Mariota : The Tennessee Titans are one of the most improved teams in the NFL this season. Titans are only a half-game out of the AFC South lead and Mariota could be the reason Tennessee makes the playoffs for the first time since 2008.

Seahawks Offense: In a 14-5 loss to the Buccaneers, the Seahawks delivered one of the worst performances of the season. Russell Wilson was struggling all day long. Pete Carroll has to be looking for answers in how to fix it.

Broncos Defense: This unit deserves all the praise it gets but they also deserve to be called out when its due. Twice, they failed to hold leads and let the Chiefs tie the game back up in regulation/overtime. Especially disheartening was the wasted performance of Trevor Siemian , who played possibly the best game of his young career.

Brock Osweiler: It is never good when the coach is asked if the star quarterback should be benched after a ugly loss. Brock Lobster should start worrying if he is in some serious trouble down in Houston.

Player of the Week

Aaron Rodgers : In a must-win game for the Packers, Rodgers once again delivered with a 300-yard, 2 touchdown performance on Monday Night over the Philadelphia Eagles. I know it’s what he usually does but it was sorely needed this time.

Dud of the Week

Darrelle Revis: Revis has been having a terrible season and got beat numerous times on sunday by Patriots receivers. Revis Island has now become a garbage dump.
