The CW has released the synopsis for Supernatural’s February 2nd episode titled ‘Lily Sunder Has Some Regrets’. Alicia Witt (The Walking Dead, Twin Peaks) guest stars as a woman with a long standing grudge against a group of angels for the murder of her family. Considering how much trouble the angels have caused since being introduced to Supernatural, we’re not that surprised.
It all goes to hell when she comes after Castiel.
What’s surprising about this synopsis is that the mid-season premiere (The Hunters Become The Hunted) will have Sam and Dean being held in an underground, government-run, detention facility in the middle of nowhere. Mary, a woman recently resurrected after 30+ years, will be paired up with Castiel, an angry and determined angel, to save the day. Not that we’re saying Mary and Cass aren’t capable but…they were able to free Sam and Dean in one episode? How much help did they get from the British Men of Letters or any other unsavory ally? It makes you wonder what they had to sacrifice to free two men arrested for the attempted assassination of the President of United States.
Here’s the synopsis for ‘Lily Sunder Has Some Regrets’:
Lily Sunder (guest star Alicia Witt) steeps herself in black magic, honing her powers for over a century, waiting to exact revenge on a band of angels that murdered her family. Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) must work quickly to stop Castiel (Misha Collins) from becoming her next victim. Thomas J. Wright directed the episode written by Steve Yockey.
Supernatural returns Thursday, January 26th at 8/9c on The CW.
