AMC has released another teaser trailer titled ‘Future’ featuring a Richonne kiss, more Carol, hope in the form of voiceovers by Rick and Tara, and the elusive Rick smile makes it’s return!
After a sad, violent, and quite depressing first half of the season, The Walking Dead is taking a turn for the brighter in season 7B. Hope has blossomed in our survivors hearts, maybe in ours too, and they’re ready to fight!
“This world can belong to the good people. We just gotta be brave enough to try,” voices a hopeful Tara. Followed by Rick saying, “That it’s about our future.” They’re ready to unite with the Kingdom and whatever mysterious groups they can, like those junk yard survivors, to kill Negan.
Rick & Co. are done surviving day to day in fear. They want to live.
It’s important to note that Morgan reunites with Rick & Co, possibly teasing a reunion between Carol and the rest of the gang, specifically Daryl. Carol is also seen with a gun in the woods. Maybe she’s ready to join the fight and has come to grips with the kind of woman she wants to be in the apocalypse.
As for the Richonne kiss, despite the hard times, it’s lovely to see that Rick and Michonne are still going strong. They’re partners, ready and willing, to fight for each other and the family they’ve built.

Read the synopsis for 7B below:
Rick’s group will find out yet again that the world isn’t what they thought it was. It’s much bigger than anything they’ve seen so far. While they have a singular purpose – to defeat Negan – it won’t come easy. More importantly, victory will require more than Alexandria. They need the numbers of the Kingdom and the Hilltop, but, similar to how Rick felt, Ezekiel (Khary Payton) and Gregory (Xander Berkeley) do not want bloodshed. To convince them otherwise will take more than speeches. The lengths Rick and the group will have to go to in order to find weapons, food and new fighters is nothing short of remarkable.
We’ll meet new survivors in incredible places. We’ll see Rick and the group tested in ways we’ve never seen before. We’ll see treachery from people we trust. Rick is confident as he will see his group and many others band together with the common goal of taking down Negan. But no amount of planning will prepare the group for all-out war with Negan and his army.
The Walking Dead returns February 12th at 9/8c on AMC.
