Lucifer, a hellhound, two Winchesters, and the King of Hell, who used to be a crossroad’s demon, sounds like the beginning of an ill-timed joke full of painful memories. Supernatural‘s ‘Somewhere Between Heaven and Hell’ takes these classic elements and mixes them together with more experienced versions of Sam and Dean.
Last week’s drama with the British Men of Letters gets put on the back burner while the Winchesters investigate the death of a camper by a hell hound. Most importantly, Dean Winchester finds some reason to wear glasses while strolling through the forest with Crowley. Maybe they’re magical, and will help him find the hell hound, or Dean is finally admitting to failing eyesight. Either way, we’re not complaining.
On the angel front we have Castiel finding a lead on Kelly Kline, Lucifer’s baby mama, and Luci making headway on his escape plans when two of Crowley’s demons find out about him. Something tells me that Crowley won’t have control of Hell for much longer.
