One of the great things about books is their covers. We are drawn in by the covers – they give us our first thoughts of the book. If the cover isn’t enticing, we don’t get to reading the jacket copy, which means that we don’t decide to read the book.
Now a days books get two chances to draw you in. We love when books have their hardcovers and then again have a new paperback cover. We loved the hardback cover to Cecelia Ahern’s Flawed and we loved the book. We’re honored and pleased to debut the paperback cover for Flawed.
Isn’t it pretty? It’s totally ominous to me, but that’s part of the allure. And we love it.
If you aren’t familiar with Flawed, here’s the synopsis –
You will be punished…
Celestine North lives a perfect life. She’s a model daughter and sister, she’s well-liked by her classmates and teachers, and she’s dating the impossibly charming Art Crevan.
But then Celestine encounters a situation where she makes an instinctive decision. She breaks a rule and now faces life-changing repercussions. She could be imprisoned. She could be branded. She could be found flawed.
In her breathtaking young adult debut, bestselling author Cecelia Ahern depicts a society where perfection is paramount and flaws lead to punishment. And where one young woman decides to take a stand that could cost her everything.
