Are you still trying to dry your tears from your binge-watch of 13 Reasons Why? Well, Netflix might give you more reasons to cry real soon.
The series, which is based on a book, might be back for a season two.
How, you ask? The book has an ending. A clear, defined one. We saw it on screen.
Well, Selena Gomez (who produced the show), sat down to speak with the The Hollywood Reporter and brought up the idea of a season 2, and though she wasn’t definitive, it does seem like there’s a real possibility we might get more.
“We don’t know what is going to go beyond it, but we know there are so many stories that lie beneath each character. That’s why it became a series in the first place. So we’ll see.”
That’s not all – Katherine Langford, who played Hannah, also seems more than ready to go back and tell more of this story.
“There’s definitely more story to tell. It would be cool to continue the dialogue of this story. There are so many cliffhangers at the end of the season. At the end of the season, I had to sit back. I didn’t think about what happens next. It’s more of this feeling like, Oh my God, that’s the story that needed to be told.”
She does make a good point. The end of the series (and the book) leaves so many things open-ended that the show could conceivably continue. Do we want it to continue? Yes. And no. And yes.
We really can’t make up our minds.
That’s a lie. If there were a season 2, we’d surely binge the hell out of that.
