Calista Flockhart Returning to Supergirl

Just when we thought Supergirl‘s sensational sophomore season couldn’t get any better!
Not only has this second season fleshed out what worked well in Supergirl‘s first season, but it also introduced some new faces that has taken the show to a new level, including Chris Wood as Mon-El, Katie McGrath as Lena Luthor, and Tyler Hoechlin as Clark Kent.
But now a fan-favorite, that exited earlier this season, is set to return for a thrilling conclusion to an impressive season.
Calista Flockhart will reprise her role as media mogul Cat Grant in the final two episodes of the season, airing May 15 and May 22, according to EW.com.
When Supergirl made the move to the CW this season, its production made the move from Los Angeles to Vancouver, where it joined the other CW superhero series. The production move made it difficult for Flockhart to appear as a series regular, which we assume was always intended.
But even when she exited in the second episode of this second season, the door was always open for her return. And we couldn’t be more thrilled for her hyped return!
Flockhart’s return coincides with news of Tyler Hoechlin returning as Clark Kent, aka Superman, in the season finale. It’s shaping up to be an amazing close to what’s been a brilliant season.
Supergirl returns with its final episodes this season Monday, April 24 at 8/7c on The CW.
