Welcome to another Sunday of talking about the shows that made us laugh, cry, go awww and, of course, look around and wonder what in the world was happening. If it made us feel things, whether they were good, or bad, then this is where we talk about it. This is where you tell us if you agree. This is where we let it all out.
So, without further ado, here are these week’s picks:
Badass Female Character of the Week

Lyra: Wynonna Earp on Wynonna Earp. She’s fierce, fun, and will do anything to protect her family and friends. She’ll go the extra mile, even though she’s scared as hell inside, because this is what she believes in. Sure, duty drives her forward. She’s the heir after all. But she believes in this cause. It’s hers. Revenants and demons beware. Wynonna Earp is coming for you!
Charles: Waverly Earp on Wynonna Earp. It was awesome seeing Waverly get to kick some butt and go undercover with a really good british accent (sorry Officer Haught). Now she is still possessed by whatever that black goo substance is but it was nice to see Waverly get her moments in the premiere episode.
April: Bill Potts of Doctor Who. She talked to the Martian Empress woman-to-woman, putting her own self at risk to ask that the Colonel be spared.
Erin: Hayley on The Originals. Is there anything that she wouldn’t do for the people that she loves. Me, thinks not. But it’s hard to watch her do it, because like she ends up sacrificing her heart all the time.
OTP of the Week

Lyra: Wayhaught from Wynonna Earp. I still need a moment to process the fact that Nicole Haught recognized that something was off with Waverly because of the way she tasted. I’m going to need an in depth discussion about this that includes slideshows, pie charts, and a fanvid of important moments. The way she tasted aside, this episode teased at the fact that this isn’t going to be a trope riddled lesbian couple for Season 2. (Something that we knew before but it’s nice to see/know/be shown again.) Wayhaught will be tested and treated with love, care, and respect as they fight to keep each other and Purgatory safe. Bring on the cheerleader outfits and fighting for true love!
Nora: Haleb from Pretty Little Liars is my OTP of the week. When Ashley comes into town and wonders what Caleb’s intentions are with Hanna, what ensues is the most adorable little proposal from Caleb. Then later on Hanna and Caleb return to a tent where it all began where Hanna basically proposes to Caleb. It’s adorable and further proves the power of this OTP. While they’ve dated other people, Haleb will always be forever on Pretty Little Liars and this episode sent me into a massive amount of OTP feels for the two of them!
April: I’m currently torn between the two main pairings on Still Star-Crossed: Rosaline/Benvolio and Rosaline/Escalus. The latter has to watch the woman he loves marry another for the good of their kingdom. The former has to marry the woman who hates him, which can only mean a very slow development of feelings between the two – which, of course, all the best ships have. Presently, I love both, in different ways. I’m intrigued by Rosaline and Benvolio and the imminent development of their love, but my heart also hurts for Rosaline and Escalus and their love that can never be. So, as a tiebreaker, I’m picking Olivia and Paris, also on Still Star-Crossed, because she saved his life and he told her as much, and that gave me feels.
Erin: I am all about Rosaline/Benvolio, because these two are horrible together right now, which means ultimately they will be great, which means I am going to be about it. I love them so much as individuals, but I can’t wait til it’s past the part where I am fucking irate at Escalus and I just accept Rosvolio is forever and will not be broken.
Moment that made you collapse into a puddle of FEELS
Lyra: Hayley seeing Jackson again on The Originals. Not going to lie, Jackson’s death hurt me. I love Elijah but Jackson was perfect. He would have been the one I picked. Setting that aside, Hayley seeing Jackson again was heartbreaking. There are so many unsaid things left between them. And I think the end of the episode where she went to the dock with some beer was her trying to reconnect with him and the good that he had inside of him, the good that he brought to her life. This show brings back people all the time. Why can’t they bring back Jackson? Maybe it’ll give Haley the closure she needs and he can lead a happy and fulfilling life somewhere besides New Orleans aka the epicenter of everything bad that happens in this show.
Danielle: When Caleb “proposed” to Hanna on Pretty Little Liars. I’m pretty sure it would have been more romantic had Hanna’s mother not been standing in between them, but Caleb’s speech was still adorable. Haleb have been through so much together on this show. They’d gotten together in season one, broke up several times throughout the show. Then Caleb had gotten with Spencer, which was very odd. But he’d realized his true feelings for Hanna, and now they’re engaged!! If Ezria (Ezra and Aria) don’t make it to the alter by the end of the series, at least we can depend on Haleb for a happy ending.
April: When the Ice Warriors killed Vincey right after he had been talking about setting a date with his bride-to-be on Doctor Who. It was clearly coming, but still. Not cool, man.
Erin: When Kol and Davina drove off into the sunset (ok not real sunset, but you know what I mean). Like I was PISSED last year when Davina died. I hated The Originals writers, and maybe that’s not such a bad thing. Why? Because they did their job. They made me feel something and I felt it deep. But seeing them together, I was cheering. FINALLY SOMEONE GETS A HAPPY ENDING on this show.
Superhero of the Week
Danielle: On Nashville, when Juliette finally faced her fears and stepped back on stage, with no crutches, wheelchair, or the help of her man Avery. The second half of season five started and has kept Juliette on edge from her plane crash, and she hadn’t really recovered from it all. But when she met Hallie, a young church choir singer who had saved her from the plane crash, it was like Juliette stepped up and became a new woman. Her performance of “On My Way” with the church choir this past episode was beautiful, bold, inspiring, and made my heart burst with joy! I hope this new Juliette stays with us on the show, because I loved it!
April: James Reed of Jamestown for trying to keep Alice from turning into the worst version of herself, but also realizing that “no woman should ever have to live in fear of any man” and therefore making her the dagger she had pleaded him for. Now that Henry has returned and Silas has not, I really hope Alice won’t have to use it.
Erin: Little Hope Mikaelson. That girl is tiny, but she’s fucking fierce. She does everything for everyone, and I feel bad for her, cause like she’s so young, but like for being young, she’s effin fierce.
Quote of the Week

Lyra: “You have amazing taste in underwear.” – Wynonna Earp, Wynonna Earp
Nora: “You can tell her you love her Em. That hasn’t been a secret since we were in Brownies.” -Mona Vanderwaal, Pretty Little Liars
Danielle: “”I want to marry your daughter. No bells and whistles. Just the two of us exchanging vows. And finally make this official.” – Caleb to Ashley, about Hanna, Pretty Little Liars
Charles: “How do you like my mustache now?” – Doc Holliday , Wynonna Earp
April: “Didn’t your mother tell you not to steal from artists? Everyone knows you only steal from the rich.” – Benvolio Montague, Still Star-Crossed
Lizzie: “What are you doing?” “Just thought I’d check in on my beloved.” “Ugh” – Rosaline and Benvolio, Still Star-Crossed.
WTF Moment of the Week

Lizzie: Escalus, really? Still Star-Crossed could have been the type of show where my heart was torn between OTPs. But then, they had to make Escalus into an asshole and my heart is not torn anymore. We haven’t even gotten enough of Rosaline and Benvolio to ship them, but I ain’t shipping her with Escalus, that’s for sure. He’s proven time and time again that he’ll put the city over his own desires – her own desires.
Lyra: Ravi facing off those zombie haters on iZombie. I knew that Ravi was going to go undercover but I didn’t expect it to go this way or spiral so out of control. He and his beautiful hair can get really hurt and I’m so mad/edge of my seat that the show ended in that cliffhanger. I’ve never been more excited for an episode of iZombie! The fact that Liv and Blaine are outside, ready to barge in full rage mode, makes me want to build a time machine just to get to Tuesday. It can’t get here fast enough!
April: More an annoyance of the week, really. Was Missy REALLY needed onboard the TARDIS?!
Charles: Major already moving on to another lady on iZombie. Wasn’t it just a couple episodes ago Major and Liv were confirming their love for one another again? Now they have all of a sudden moved on again just like that. Ugh this was just not great writing from a show that usually nails it in the writing department.
Erin: Escalus, you’re an asshole. That’s all I have to say.
