‘The Night Shift’ Photos 4×02: ‘Off The Rails’

Last week, The Night Shift opened season 4 with San Antonio Memorial in turmoil. The night shift staff are having to adjust to life under their new boss with Topher gone, and it’s not going to be an easy road. Tonight in “Off The Rails” the night shift family has an even bigger load of trouble in store. Besides having to treat all of the victims from the amusement park disaster, Jordan has some unknown horrible news. At the end of the trailer preview for tonight’s episode she was on the verge of tears as she called the night shift staff together, so whatever this news is, it’s no small matter.

The photos from tonight’s episode “Off The Rails” also show us that TC and Syd are reunited, but still captive in Syria. Maybe Jordan’s news has something to do with this, as being held captive in Syria is an extremely dangerous situation to be in. It looks like Paul might come back to work at San Antonio Memorial in “Off The Rails” tonight despite his father, as he can be seen in scrubs in the promo photos performing surgery alongside Scott and his father. I don’t think he would be allowed to perform any kind of surgery if he wasn’t part of the hospital staff again, but it is The Night Shift, so you never know.

I’m hoping we get to see Rick and Brianna visit Drew tonight, as the writers gave us quite a scare in the premiere, making us think that they might have been at the amusement park when the massive accident took place. I personally don’t think that we get to see enough of Drew spending time with his family, so I’m hoping that this season will continue to have more of that to offer.

Check out the gallery and read the synopsis below to get ready for “Off The Rails” tonight!

Drew is forced to re-evaluate his priorities as a new father; the ER is flooded with mass casualty victims from an amusement park disaster; Jordan helps appease Paul and his father; Scott pursues a more active role in the hospital; Kenny tries to put Cain in his place.

The Night Shift airs Thursdays at 10/9c on NBC.
