‘The Walking Dead’: First Image of Season 8 Has Arrived!

EW has released the premiere image of Season 8 of AMC’s The Walking Dead. In this first look we have Carol in the armour we saw her wearing in the season finale when she joined the warriors of The Kingdom on their march to help Alexandria. With a weapon in hand she seen standing in front of Daryl Dixon. He is sitting on a motorcycle, armed but casual enough that there doesn’t seem to be any immediate danger for either of them.

Season 8 of The Walking Dead promises to be more fast paced than it’s previous season and have characters who’ve never met before interacting while ones we know and love reunite and build off of that coming together of communities. Scott Gimple, executive producer of The Walking Dead, told EW, “The season finale last year, seeing all the characters together interacting as one, was thrilling. It was exciting to see all these configurations of characters we hadn’t seen before. Even Aaron merely giving Jerry an apple felt satisfying.”

The Walking Dead Season 8 premieres on AMC on October 2017. The show will appear at SDCC on Friday, July 21st, with a panel at Hall H, from 12:15-1:30.  Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Lauren Cohan, Danai Gurira, Melissa McBride, Chandler Riggs, Lennie James, Alanna Masterson, Seth Gilliam and Khary Payton and executive producers Scott M. Gimple, Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, Dave Alpert and Greg Nicotero are expected to appear.
