The Trailer for ‘Goodbye Christopher Robin’ Has Us In Tears

I’ve always loved Winnie the Pooh. There was something about the story that made me smile, laugh, and sometimes cry. There was always something about Christopher Robin I envied. My teddy bears never spoke, they never carried me off to a different place.

I miss the days of innocence, but what I love is that even as I get older, I can pull out books and stories that I love and remember. But I admit – as much as I love books, I never really thought about where Winnie the Pooh came from. Goodbye Christopher Robin recounts how author A.A. Milne was inspired by his son, who really was named Christopher Robin, and the story of how Winnie the Pooh came to be.

The tears won’t stop falling. Part of me is afraid to watch the film, because I don’t want Winnie the Pooh to be changed for me. But I can’t stop watching the trailer and I know I will be there to see it when it hits theaters.

SYNOPSIS: Goodbye Christopher Robin gives a rare glimpse into the relationship between beloved children’s author A. A. Along with his mother Daphne (Margot Robbie), and his nanny Olive (Kelly Macdonald), Christopher Robin and his family are swept up in the international success of the books; the enchanting tales bringing hope and comfort to England after the First World War. But with the eyes of the world on Christopher Robin, what will the cost be to the family?
