Fangirlish’s FEELS of the Week: August 6th – August 12th

Welcome to another Sunday of talking about the shows that made us laugh, cry, go awww and, of course, look around and wonder what in the world was happening. If it made us feel things, whether they were good, or bad, then this is where we talk about it. This is where you tell us if you agree. This is where we let it all out.

So, without further ado, here are these week’s picks:

Badass Female Character of the Week

Caryn: Daenerys Targaryen on Game of Thrones jumping on her dragon and reclaiming her time by finally fighting the Lannisters back. She was the true embodiment of a dragon queen, and has changed the game, going forward.

Chloe: I’m 500% with Caryn on this one. Game of Thrones. DRACARYS, bitch.

Charles: I’m with everybody and picking Dracarys. It’s hard to beat the shot of her riding the dragon to the battlefield on Game of Thrones.

Lariel: Could it be anything else, really? We’ve been waiting YEARS for that.

Erin: There is nothing that can contend with that moment. Totally behind you Caryn. DRACARYS, bitch. YAAASSS!!!

Lyra: Breaking up this GOT love fest (:p) to talk about Waverly from Wynonna Earp. That girl got put in a hard position and tried her hardest to save her love and keep her family together. Sure what she did led to the disappearance of her sister. But sometimes badass doesn’t come to you in the same traditional way as Dany from GOT (bitchin’ dragons and conquering the world). It comes from facing those daily supernatural hardships head-on and making the tough decisions. She made them this week and she’ll make them next week.

OTP of the Week

Caryn: Sutton and Alex in The Bold Type. I thought this was my own personal crackship until this week when Alex proved me right and admitted that he felt a little something-something for Sutton. Will this cause a little drama for Richard and Sutton? I hope so.

Chloe: I have to admit, when Jon and Daenerys were talking in that cave on this week’s Game of Thrones, I really felt that their only way forward is a marriage of ice and fire. I’m still not 100% sure how I feel about that – even seeing the two of them finally (FINALLY!) interacting feels a little bit like fan fiction because it’s such wish fulfillment bliss, and Dany is a strong independent woman who don’t need no man – but I would also kind of be here for it. They need each other’s support, and there are worse ways to lock that in than with a wedding between the two finest (/most qualified and awesome) people in Westeros.

Lariel: I’m going friendship rather than romance here: Brienne and Arya on Game of Thrones. That sparring match was something else!

Erin: OMG, Charles and Liza on Younger. I die. I am so glad that she finally gave into temptation, because I love those two together. Sure, I love Josh and I really want to be all for that. But like Charles is perfect for her. Hell if she doesn’t want him, she can send him my way. I will take him. Lord, he’s hot. But those two – that desk. YAAASSS!!!

Moment that made you collapse into a puddle of FEELS

Lizzie: The Stark sisters reunite, at last, on Game of Thrones and it was everything it should have been – a bit awkward, very loving and particularly, extremely hopeful. They were very different people when they parted and they’re very different people now, but they love each other, and that’s what matters.

Caryn: I’m going to have to agree with Lizzie and say that every Arya scene this week in Game of Thrones. I bawled when she and Sansa hugged and reminisced, I even shed a tear when she met up with Bran and he gave her the dagger, but I adored the scene where she sparred with Brienne.

Chloe: I’ll add my support to the Stark sisters’ reunion on Game of Thrones. Seeing anyone on that show find their way back to each other – particularly family members who have spent years apart and gone through terrible ordeals – really brings the feels.

Lariel: Stark family reunions were the number one thing I was waiting for this season, and while Bran has been a bit of a pill, I’ve loved them all.

Charles: I’m going to pick Charles and Liza’s kiss on Younger. It was a long awaited moment for us on Team Charles and as a added bonus, it was hot as hell.

Erin: I am gonna pick Josh and Kelsey’s kiss on Younger.  I collapsed  into a puddle of ANGRY AS FUCK feels. Like I am glad she was like this is wrong, but LORD, I was pissed. I have hated Kelsey and Josh at separate times this year, but like where is any loyalty on this show. MAKES ME SO MAD. What was he thinking??? Feels don’t always have to be happy. Sometimes they can be anger.

Superhero of the Week

Lyra: Waverly from Wynonna Earp. She came in sticks waving and fought tooth-and-nail for the woman that she loved. This was life or death and her and Nicole were going to survive this. She was going to guarantee it.

Chloe: Lydia, my Banshee queen, for facing her fears and coming through like a badass. I loved that we got to see how being back in Eichen House affected her – even though it was painful – because of course she’s going to be traumatized after what she went through in that place. But she still pushed through to save Parrish, using her Banshee powers to take out Dr. Fenris in one of the coolest scenes of the season thus far.

Lizzie: Daenerys Targaryen, or maybe, Daenerys and Drogo, together – taking care of the Lannisters one unnamed soldier at a time. What a badass.

Erin: Jessica, on Big Brother. This season of Big Brother has pissed me off with the bullies all the time. BUT – I think Jessica hung in there like a champ until her eviction. This season is kinda gross with the way that people treat each other. But she stuck through. She’s my superhero of the week for putting up with Josh’s loud, rude, bullying mouth.

Quote of the Week

Lizzie: Daenerys Targaryen: What do you think I should do?

Jon Snow: I never thought that dragons would exist again. No one did. The people who follow you know that you made something impossible happen. Maybe that helps them believe that you can make other impossible things happen. Build a world that’s different from the shit one they’ve always known. But if you use them to melt castles and burn cities, you’re not different. You’re just more of the same. – Game of Thrones

Chloe: “Chaos is a ladder.” – Bran Stark channeling his inner Spongebob and getting the best of Baelish. Littlefinger is going DOWN. – Game of Thrones

Charles: “If I didn’t know any better, I’d swear you were trying to get me pregnant again.”- Wynonna

“My tracking skills are very virile.” – Doc , Wynonna Earp

WTF Moment of the Week

Lizzie: The whole thing with Bran on Game of Thrones being all like yeah, I don’t need you Meera, thank you for basically ruining your life for me, literally dragging me through a frozen wasteland and sorry your brother got killed. Bye Felicia! Like, dude, Bran, if you have all the knowledge in the universe you should at least know how to PRETEND to care.

Brittany: Agree with Lizzie. That was VERY UNCOOL of Bran.

Lariel: Bran, WHAT. THE. HELL?

Chloe: Dr. Fenris wiping out the Eichen House closed unit and putting Parrish on ice. NO THANK YOU. Stay away from all of my Teen Wolf bbys, please.

Heather: Those DAMNED SPIDERS!! Teen Wolf, why you gotta go do it?! I can’t do things crawling under your skin… JUST CAN’T, I WON’T, DON’T MAKE ME!

Charles: The end of the DuckTales cartoon where we see Huey,Louie and Dewey’s mom in the painting with Donald and Scrooge. A well done cartoon with a mystery underneath is something I can get behind.

Erin: I am with you Lizzie. I am so with you. Bran, what the fuck is wrong with you? Insensitive ass.
