This has been a big week for Harry Styles. September 19 saw him kicking off his solo world tour in San Fransisco, to an enthusiastic and enthralled crowd of fans. His energy and stage presence was everything we expect and know of him, with the ‘whale’, throwing water into the crowd, and his general intense actions on stage. The next night found him at the Greek Theater in LA, and again, fans loved every minute of the experience of solo Styles.

Critics were mixed on the reception, but many noted that the musicality of Harrys solo show was much more advanced than that of 1D. Harry took to the guitar, performed complicated harmonies, and held his own without his mates at his back. Beyond his solo tracks, Harry treated fans to 1D hits like Stockholm Syndrome, as well as overs of other popular songs.

Friday, September 22, found Styles taking the stage at the iHeart Music Festival. And yes, he performed with the same energy and vigor as we expected from him, but what made more headlines than his ability on stage was his choice of clothing. A rather loud, vibrant, Joker-esque red suit that immediately sparked memes, comparisons and ‘wtf’ comments from the fandom and critics alike. But say what you want about his clothing choices, no one can deny that Harry has made his mark as a solo artist, and we all cant wait to see him on stage when we rolls into our town.

Nialler was another member who had a rather big week. Releasing the track list for his upcoming solo album, Flicker, as well as kicking off his own solo tour on September 19 just like band mate Harry, he has been one busy lad. But it wasnt just the shows and stages he has been putting forward, but the next single, Too Much To Ask, and video, have hit our ears and we cant love it more.

The video is a far cry from the energetic and upbeat music we are used to from his band, with Niall pining over lost love, sharing pints with friends, and then wandering the streets of London alone. It is a commentary we can all relate to, which is why we think it is so impacting as a tune. Because we all know what he is talking about. But what we cant help thinking is ‘who broke your heart, Nialler?’

If you are a Liam girl, then this was a good week for you. First, he made an appearance at London Fashion Week, sitting next to long time pal Ellie Goulding for the Emporio Armani show, and he admits that starting his own fashion line is something he has been considering.

“There are a lot of brands doing small capsule collections and that’s something I would like to do myself – who knows, the possibilities are endless!” – Liam Payne

But for a more visual stimulation, Payne released a series of photos with Telegraph Magazine that is all brooding and sexy and yes. The article talks about his feelings post 1D, finding his own voice, his relationship with girlfriend and baby mama Cheryl, and becoming a first time dad. It gives you a glimpse into solo Liam, and an insider peak into his life as a solo artist

This was a more quiet week for the Tommo, but he was more than vocal in support of his former band mates. He checked out Nialler on stage in LA at Troubador, taking in the show from a balcony above the stage. Fans below got treated to 1/2 of the 1D crew, and were thrilled to not only get a glimpse of Louis, but to see him out to support his long time friend.

After the show, the two shared a hug and a chat backstage, and it was clear that Niall appreciated his friends support just as much (maybe more) than the fans. Knowing he has the backing of the people who have been by his side all these years obviously means alot, and we cant wait to see more of these 4 supporting each other in their projects.

Check in next Saturday for another 1D Chronicles, bringing you the weekly news of all things Niall, Harry, Louis and Liam!
