NFL Pick Em’ : Week 6

Hello again everyone and welcome back as your favorite writers (I hope) over here at Fangirlish are here to make predictions on Week 6 of the NFL season. Some surprises and not so surprises have shaped the first five weeks of the season.

For Example

Surprise: The Jaguars are really good.

Not A Surprise: Aaron Rodgers has the Cowboys’s number still.

NO DUH: Browns…….still terrible.

So as we go into a admittedly not great slate of games for the week, there is still a few good gems to pluck out of the bunch. Come and check out our predictions and see how we’ll far for the sixth week of the NFL season!

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Carolina Panthers (TNF)

Alyssa: Eagles 28, Panthers 24 – Dare I say that it’s possible the Thursday Night Football game might be one of the best of the week? These are two thriving offenses, but I’ve gotta go with the Eagles here.

Lizzie: Eagles 27, Panthers 23 – The two team have looked, dare I say it, good? But I’m not in the mood to root for Cam.

Charles: Eagles 27, Panthers 23 – Two teams on the upswing and the Eagles are looking like a playoff threat right now.

Katherine: Eagles 30, Panthers 20 – The Eagles are looking really good right now, and like Lizzie, I am so not on the Newton bandwagon right now.

Chicago Bears vs. Baltimore Ravens

Alyssa: Bears 20, Ravens 13 – You never know what you’re getting with the Ravens — a 50-point blowout or a defensive powerhouse. But I’m going with my gut here as Mitch gets his first win as a Bear.

Lizzie: Bears 20, Ravens 13 – Mitch gets his first win, and I’m not just saying this to please Alyssa.

Charles: Bears 14, Ravens 10 – Mitch looked good Monday night but defense will be what wins on this day for da Bears.

Katherine: Bears 17, Ravens 10 – Mitch will be getting his first win against the Ravens, who are all over the map this year.

Cleveland Browns vs. Houston Texans

Alyssa: Texans 34, Browns 6 – If you have Deshaun Watson on your fantasy team — and any of his weapons — start em. Start em all.

Lizzie: Texans 28, Browns 7 – No one is going to pick the Browns here. Move along.

Charles: Texans 31, Browns 3 – DeShaun Watson is going to beat up these fellas bad.

Katherine: Texans 24, Browns 3 – Once again, the poor Browns.

Green Bay Packers vs. Minnesota Vikings

Alyssa: Packers 31, Vikings 17 – Aaron Rodgers owns the Vikings. Well, he owns most everything. I don’t see how the Vikings have enough to overpower Rodgers as he’s in midseason form.

Lizzie: Packers 31, Vikings 14 – That Aaron Rodgers just finds way to win. Plus, it’s not like Minnesota looks unbeatable.

Charles: Packers 24, Vikings 16 – Packers aren’t a perfect team but I’ll pick Aaron Rodgers more times than I will go against him.

Katherine: Packers 28, Vikings 17 – Aaron Rodgers is just really hard to pick against, especially with his knack for last second wins.

Detroit Lions vs. New Orleans Saints

Alyssa: Lions 28, Saints 20 – The Saints are one of those wildcards this season, as you’re not really sure what to make of them just yet. With that said, the Lions have already proven they’re one of the best in the NFC.

Lizzie: Lions 35, Saints 31 – Points galore! Even in a loss, the Saints can score.

Charles: Lions 44, Saints 28 – Lions win a big-time scoring game because why not? Also the Saints once again are a .500 team at best I think.

Katherine: Lions 38, Saints 27 – The Saints have been pretty inconsistent this season and sort of like the Ravens, you don’t exactly know what you’re going to get (though Kamara running a lot would be good for my Fantasy Team).

Miami Dolphins vs. Atlanta Falcons

Alyssa: Falcons 31, Dolphins 17 – Things haven’t been particularly sunny for the Dolphins this season. I don’t see that changing against the Falcons.

Lizzie: Falcons 35, Dolphins 10 – Sorry Dolphins, but I gotta give this one to Ryan.

Charles: Falcons 31, Dolphins 13 – Dolphins are a game team but Matty Ice and the Birds are really far and away better than them right now.

Katherine: Falcons 38, Dolphins 16 – The Dolphins are no match for the Cardinals, they’ll have to wait for their rematch against the Jets to try and turn things around.

New England Patriots vs. New York Jets

Alyssa: Patriots 38, Jets 28 – As much as I’d love to take the Jets, there’s no way I am.

Lizzie: Patriots 34, Jets 31 – I wish I could pick the Jets, I really do. Common sense won’t let me.

Charles: Patriots 37, Jets 31 – Only the Pats could have a defense give up probably 30 points a game and still be considered a Super Bowl threat.

Katherine: Patriots 45, Jets 34 – The Pats defense has been horrific thus far, but still Tom Brady.

San Francisco 49ers vs. Washington Redskins

Alyssa: Redskins 24, 49ers 7 – Mark this one down as skip and not actually miss anything.

Lizzie: Redskins 21, 49ers 10 – Is anyone going to watch this game?

Charles: Redskins 14, 49ers 10 – What do you say about this game? Hope it ends quickly?

Katherine: Redskins 14, 49ers 10 – Nothing to see here, move along.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Arizona Cardinals

Alyssa: Buccaneers 24, Cardinals 10 – Even Adrian Peterson can’t save the Cardinals. Well, not this Adrian Peterson.

Lizzie: Buccaneers 17, Cardinals 10 – I’m done trusting the Cardinals to remember the team they could be.

Charles: Buccaneers 24, Cardinals 10 – Adrian Peterson is now a Cardinal. Won’t matter against a angry Tampa Bay team.

Katherine: Buccaneers 28, Cardinals 17 – The Bucs will have this one relatively comfortably despite the newest running back in Arizona.

Los Angeles Rams vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

Alyssa: Rams 24, Jaguars 23 – If you’d have told me last season this was one of my more anticipated games this week, I’d have slapped you. But, here we are.

Lizzie: Jaguars 30, Rams 17 – The Jags! THE JAGS! Yeah, I’m impressed too.

Charles: Jaguars 21, Rams 11 – Two happy surprises here. Both defenses are good but I like how the Jags are looking so far this season.

Katherine: Jaguars 28, Rams 10 – The Jags defense just looks too good for me to pick against.

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Kansas City Chiefs

Alyssa: Chiefs 38, Steelers 13 – What Charles and Lizzie said.

Lizzie: Chiefs 35, Steelers 14 – What Charles said.

Charles: Chiefs 33, Steelers 10 – Hopefully Ben throws two more pick-sixs and retires on the spot.

Katherine: Chiefs 35, Steelers 13 – I feel like I don’t need to say anything else here…

Los Angeles Chargers vs. Oakland Raiders

Alyssa: Raiders 27, Chargers 14 – Is Derek Carr returning this week? That’s all I want to know.

Lizzie: Raiders 27, Chargers 20 – I’m never picking the Chargers. Ever.

Charles: Raiders 27, Chargers 20 – Man, Raiders win this one but you know they are all asking “When’s Derek Carr coming back??”

Katherine: Raiders 24, Chargers 17 – Given that the Chargers only win is against the Giants, you have to go with the Raiders here, with or without Derek Carr.

New York Giants vs. Denver Broncos (SNF)

Alyssa: Broncos 27, Giants 10 – God, I feel so bad for what the Broncos are about to do to the Giants on national television.

Lizzie: Broncos 24, Giants 7 – This looked like a good game at the beginning of the year. Not, not so much.

Charles: Broncos 24, Giants 10 – GIants go to 0-6 as Denver should and will win this game easily vs the Beckham-less G-Men.

Katherine: Broncos 27, Giants 3 – Everything just keeps getting worse for the Giants (not that I mind), and there’s no way they come out on top in this one.

Indianapolis Colts vs. Tennessee Titans (MNF)

Alyssa: Titans 17, Colts 14 – Um…is the score enough?

Lizzie: Titans 18, Colts 14 – I ain’t picking the Colts either.

Charles: Colts 18, Titans 14 – I’ll pick the Colts winning on six Adam Vinateri field goals because seems like how Indy can only score anymore.

Katherine: Colts 17, Titans 16 – I’m going with Charles on this one.
