‘How To Get Away With Murder’ 4×14 Review: The Day Before He Died

Alright, I’m gonna say it. This storyline revolving around Wes’ death has been dragged on way too long and I’m bored.

It’s like we’re going in circles and I think I’m getting to the point where I won’t be shocked by WHO DID IT.

Was it Mrs. Castillo? Mr. Castillo? Denver? AN UNKNOWN THIRD-PARTY?

I’m also over anything that’s revolving around Laurel. I mean it’s really unfortunate that she has such horrible people as her parents. I wish they never got Wes and Laurel together. Their pairing always felt off to me, and the way she fell for him felt too rushed.

If the killer turns out to be someone we don’t know, that means they will bring on this new third-party to play as the villain for the next season and not sure how fun that’ll be anymore. But I hope I’m wrong and it opens a whole new story, that DOESN’T involve Wes. I would really like this Wes case to be over and done with by the season finale.

Well, we don’t know if it’ll be picked up for another season, but it most likely will.

I’m ready for solid answers in the finale because I’m quite bored with this storyline.

Then on top of figuring out who exactly killed Wes, we have another body we might have to identify. There was a body in a bag after an accident, but we’ll get to that in a minute.

Moving onto the Keating 5 gang, Simon is awake and it’s got everyone freaked out.

What they did to Simon was really messed up, not gonna lie. But they’re just making matters much worse now. Yeah, Simon took back his statement and fired Teagan as his lawyer, but I feel like Annalise and the gang can’t get away THAT easy.

It’s a mess for them all at this point.

Towards the end of the episode, Nate calls Annalise saying that there was an accident and we see a body in a bag. A dead body…of who?!

I can tell you right now I don’t believe it’s Bonnie’s because I don’t think Nate would even have the guts to break this news to Annalise over the phone so nonchalantly like that.

If it ends up being Bonnie, I’m gonna be mad. Mad because this will totally wreck Annalise. Like a lot. We don’t wanna see her go down a bad path again when she’s just now picking herself up off her feet after everything she’s been through, you know? Also, that would totally be a messed up way to kill off Bonine, the underdog of the show.

Though maybe Denver and Jorge got to Bonnie in a different way because I doubt they would be letting her go that easily.

Honestly, at this point, I’m neither nervous and hyped for the season finale. I usually have been for the past seasons, but this season has been OK. I just want the Wes storyline to be put to rest already, give Laurel her baby back and have her not ruined things like she has so far. It’s crazy how this all ties down to one of the Keating 5’s PARENTS. Wild.

Other thoughts:

  • So was that the last of Issac Roa on the show? I’m sad to see how his character came about.
  • Asher and Michaela’s relationship problems should be the least of their worries right now.
  • Why does something tell me that Teagan might end up hurt in all of this?
