I’m all about anything that shows off a strong female character. It’s part of the reason that I loved the movie, A League of Their Own. But for me, that movie was timeless. That movie was part of the reason that I knew that I could be anything that I wanted to be.
I know, I know – it was a movie. But it was a movie about real things and a real time.
And now they are fucking with it. At least that’s the way that I feel. Amazon is developing a TV adaptation of the ’90s women’s-baseball movie, and to be honest with you, I don’t want it.
I want the movie to be left as it was.
I want the perfection that was.
Mozart in the Jungle’s Will Graham and Broad City’s Abbi Jacobson will co-write and executive produce the show, which is being touted as a more traditional, modern look at the story.
It isn’t a firm yes, yet. Amazon wants scripts before making a choice. I just kinda want it to be left alone.
But hey Fox, if you wanna bring Pitch back, I am okay with that.
