FilmRise released the first trailer for The Miseducation of Cameron Post starring Chloe Grace Moretz and it looks so good.
The movie, which is based off the 2012 novel by Emily M. Danforth, is about a Montana teen who has an ultra conservative family, who gets caught getting it on with a girl and her parents send her off to a conservative therapy camp to help her “repent.” Despite the harshness and cruelty of the camp, Cameron finds her family among the people at the camp.
The book was one of the most thought provoking books I have ever read. It’s definitely a must read.
The trailer focuses on God’s Promise, the therapy camp that Cameron is sent to and her time there. We get to see Cameron finding herself and remaining strong amongst the intense scrutiny and shaming that happens at the camp.
The film is set for an August 3rd limited release in select cities. Will it be a movie that you see?
