It’s officially here! The news we’ve all been waiting for. San Diego Comic-Con has given us what we deserve.
The BBC has released the first official Doctor Who series 11 trailer. And you can see it right now:
Not a lot can be deduced from the trailer. We don’t get a clear image of who the baddie will be, or if there’s even one. We also don’t get to see many aliens –if any. But it’s bigger, it’s more cinematic, it’s adventurous, and it is, frankly, just what we could expect from The Doctor. It’s much more intense, surely, but if the tiny cut scenes of the Doctor that we see are anything to judge by, it looks like Jodie Whittaker’s incarnation might be as cheery and innocent as Matt Smith’s.
But perhaps most importantly, we get to see The Doctor doing what she’s best at: running. Which, if you ask us, can only mean that we’re in for amazing adventures.
The BBC also recently released new photos of the season that will air Fall 2018.
Check them out!
It’s the first time we see new companions Graham, Yasmin, and Ryan together as well as hanging around with The Doctor herself, so it looks like all three of them will accompany her this season. Why and how that happens, we’ll still have to wait a little while longer to find out.
But for now, dearest Doctor, if you’re asking if we’d be your new best friends, the answer is most definitely yes.
